DUMB WAITER

Two men wait in the basement of an abandoned cafe. As they pass their time reading newspapers, and bickering over mundane concerns, it becomes clear that they might not be alone.

First performed in 1960, DUMB WAITER is widely regarded as one of the finest of Pinter's early works, and features his trademark blend of profound, occasionally absurd comedy and pathos. The show saw frequent and celebrated ETR collaborators Daniel Roy Connelly and Douglas Dean on stage together for the first time.
