Presented in collaboration with John Cabot University’s 'Italy Reads Program' EVERYTHING THAT RISES MUST CONVERGE transforms Flannery O’Connor’s landmark short story into a powerful choral theatrical event. Adapted by Karin Coonrod, the ETR production uses ensemble narration and overlapping performance to explore race, generational conflict, and human connection in the American South. First developed in the late 1990s, ETR's presentation becomes part of an internationally recognized theatrical lineage that continues to tour today. Featuring Jonathan Hedley as Julian, Leon Lewis as Carver, Lee Archer as Carver’s mother, and Rosie Hillesley as Julian’s mother.

“Brilliant in its simplicity. The choral reading conveys with transfixing clarity the work’s exploration of racial tensions and generational conflicts, themes just as relevant today as they were in 1965.” --Italian Insider
